The report is based on an analysis of approximately 750 private M&A deals undertaken in 2021 – approximately 100 in the UK, 170 in Continental Europe, 130 in the Nordics, 290 in the US and 60 in Asia Pacific. It also draws on the analysis of over 2,600 further deals undertaken in 2016-20 for our earlier M&A Intelligence reports. Our DLA Piper M&A Trends Database now includes over 4,700 deals.
