Carsten Lorentzen deals primarily with mergers and acquisitions, real estate, litigation and arbitration and with compulsory acquisition matters.   

Carsten has a right of audience before the Danish Supreme Court and is recognised by IFLR 1000. Carsten has conducted a vast number of legal proceedings before the Danish Supreme Court, the Danish High Courts and arbitration tribunals. 

Recently, for instance, he conducted a large number of the initial calibration cases in the wake of the mink farming industry being shut down in 2020, which set precedents for the remaining cases on compensation for the Danish mink industry and related industries. 

He has, furthermore, provided assistance in a multitude of mergers and acquisitions as well as other transactions, acting for both sellers and buyers. He has advised on billion-kroner deals such as the sale of LINDBERG A/S to Kering SA in 2021.  

He also provides ad-hoc advice to clients such as Formula Automobile A/S concerning the expansion into new areas of business and the acquisition of enterprises. Moreover, Carsten advises on real estate, including site purchases, design and build contracts, corporate structures, transfer agreements, etc.   

Carsten is a professional board member, serving on the governing bodies and boards of directors of numerous Danish business enterprises, including the Salling foundations (owners of Denmark's largest retail group), Benjamin Capital ApS, Formula Automobile A/S, IPJ Invest A/S and LINDBERG Optik A/S.

Recent highlights
  • Carsten assists the Danish mink industry and related industries in obtaining compensation as a result of the mink farming industry being shut down on 4 November 2020. He is involved in several cases and conducted a little over half of the initial calibration cases, which were to set precedents for the remaining cases.  
  • Carsten acted on the sale of Danish eyewear brand Lindberg A/S to Kering SA in 2021. This was a billion-kroner deal and Carsten advised on all legal aspects throughout the process.   
  • Carsten acted for Danish real-estate company Domis on the project development of real estate worth billions of Danish kroner. He advised on site purchases, design and build contracts, corporate structures, transfer agreements, etc.
